Düsseldorf, 15.03.18. According to the current estimate of the German Energy Storage Association (Bundesverband Energiespeicher e. V. - BVES), the energy storage industry will grow by around 11 per cent in 2018 and will generate a turnover of approximately EUR 5.1 billion. Medium-sized companies are the main driving force behind this increase. The development of ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE reflects this industry trend: With a total of 170 exhibitors and about 4.500 visitors, also this year's energy storage trade fair and the two conferences ESE and IRES continued the positive development of the past years."No other trade fair in the world covers the entire spectrum of energy storage solutions. Every year, new players enter the still young market with innovative solutions - often with new technological approaches to energy storage", says Hans Werner Reinhard, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf.

Bonn/Vienna, 8 November 2017 – For a rapid and efficient energy transition in Europe, pioneers and innovators in the field of renewable energy are needed. With the yearly awarding of the European Solar Prize, EUROSOLAR, together with its national sections, makes these actors the focus of public awareness and gives fresh impetus to a decentralized energy turnaround based on 100% renewables.
Towards the end of each year, the award winners are invited to a celebratory event in an European city. Having previously been held in Rome, Prague and Barcelona this year’s edition of the European Solar Prize will be awarded in Vienna. EUROSOLAR and EUROSOLAR Austria present this year’s winners on Saturday, 18 November 2017, at the venue of Technical University Vienna (TU the Sky).
Bonn, 22 October 2017 – We call on Spain and the EU to immediately step back from confrontation and allow democracy to rule and respect the will of the Catalonian people. This is the true meaning and realisation of the European Union: the softening of national boundaries and the strengthening of regional cultural, ecological and economical realms.
Let's also not let a good independence movement go to waste: and make sure the Catalonian and other European movements towards cultural affinity and regional self-determination are supported and endowed with a deeper existential meaning: the turn from nuclear and fossil energy. Herein lies the real promise and deep rationale of an independent Catalona, Scottland, Lombardia or Bavaria: the ability to not only shed the antiquated notion of national states and fixed if arbitrary boundaries, but also the reconstruction of a resilient, peaceful and united Europe - a renewable Union of Regions.

Resolution of the Board of EUROSOLAR Germany endorsed by the EUROSOLAR Executive Council
Bonn, 9 October 2017 – EUROSOLAR e.V. welcomes the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to the anti-nuclear campaign ICAN and congratulates the organization for this honor. It focuses the attention on the madness of nuclear weapons.
The struggle against nuclear weapons and the struggle against the nuclear economy and its nuclear power plants are two sides of the same coin.

This week the Heads of State and Government of the 20 economically strongest industrialized and threshold countries will meet in Hamburg. The German government has as host put the topics of Energy and Climate on the agenda. In 2017 however, it takes far more than good intentions and political speeches at a summer-meeting that is not constituted democratically and has no real legitimacy under international law.
