Düsseldorf, 14 March 2019 – Energy storage systems are attracting great interest in more and more industries. The reasons: Technological maturity and a multitude of marketable products. This development is also substantiated by the trade fair cooperations as well as by the positive visitor reactions at this year's ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE, which ends today in Düsseldorf after three successful days. More than 90% of visitors and exhibitors confirmed their satisfaction with the industry event.

Bonn, 15.01.2019 Applications and proposals in the field of renewable energies can now be submitted for the renowned EUROSOLAR award. Cities, municipalities, architects, municipal and private companies, associations, organisations and cooperatives, journalists and of course citizens from all over Europe are invited to participate.

Bonn, 17.11.2018. Eight ground-breaking projects for the energy revolution: Today EUROSOLAR awarded the European Solar Prize 2018 to actors from six different nations at the Kunstmuseum Bonn. The prize winners from the fields of education, urban planning, architecture, social affairs and industry are making a contribution to the regenerative and decentralised energy supply in Europe with forward-looking projects. The prize was awarded, for example, for a production hall in Switzerland with a perfectly integrated photovoltaic system to meet the energy needs for the airplane production, a solar electric car ferry operating on the Mosel on the German-Luxembourgian border and for the Israeli-Palestinian NGO Comet-ME. It supplies around 4,000 people in Palestine who have no access to the supply grid with renewable energy and clean water.

Bonn, 6 November 2018. Never before it has been so important to drive the renewable energy transformation consistently, quickly and with commitment to imaginative local solutions. Because the latest findings on climate change show the price being paid for long delayed action. Every year EUROSOLAR awards the European Solar Prize to role models and pioneers in the field of renewable energies and brings a wide variety of energy transition actors from all parts of society into the public eye.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of EUROSOLAR and the associated annual partnership with the City of Bonn, this year's award winners will be honoured in the EUROSOLAR home town. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, 17 November 2018, at the Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany.

Bonn, 27.08.2018. Our cities contain the settings and solution for a central existential challenge of our time: climate shift. The development of a regenerative energy system holds the key for the continued prospering of our social and economic structures. Communities, cities and regions as central places of human activity play a decisive role in this. The second edition of the book ‘Urban Energy Transition’ is a progressive reading for citizens, companies, communities, from villages to megacities and metropolitan regions that are striving for a rapid change from fossil fuels and nuclear energy to renewable energies. On about 700 pages, technical, financial, systematic, urban planning, landscape planning and sociological questions are discussed and strategies for a successful energy turnaround in the city and the region are presented.

Bonn, 21.07.2018. Declaration of the European Board of EUROSOLAR, formulated by Peter Droege, President EUROSOLAR
In the 30 years since the founding of EUROSOLAR, many extraordinary successes and advances in the proliferation of renewable energy have been made: the powerful feed-in tariffs; the rise of 100 % renewable buildings, communities and regions; the broad march of solar and wind into many countries’ power mixes; the revolution of national policies to embrace energy transitions; and the rise of renewable energy investment – which has long become the dominant mode in annual capital expenditures in new power generation capacity world-wide.

Bonn, 24 May 2018. A successful energy transition requires civic, medium-sized and municipal actors who point the way through commitment and innovation to a renewable future. EUROSOLAR's European Solar Prize puts these pioneers in the public eye and illustrate the practicable, efficient and cost-effective use of renewable energies for society.Applications and proposals can be submitted quickly and easily online until Friday, 15 June 2018. All entries will be submitted to a qualified jury, which will decide on this year's prize winners. Düsseldorf, 15.03.18. According to the current estimate of the German Energy Storage Association (Bundesverband Energiespeicher e. V. - BVES), the energy storage industry will grow by around 11 per cent in 2018 and will generate a turnover of approximately EUR 5.1 billion. Medium-sized companies are the main driving force behind this increase. The development of ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE reflects this industry trend: With a total of 170 exhibitors and about 4.500 visitors, also this year's energy storage trade fair and the two conferences ESE and IRES continued the positive development of the past years."No other trade fair in the world covers the entire spectrum of energy storage solutions. Every year, new players enter the still young market with innovative solutions - often with new technological approaches to energy storage", says Hans Werner Reinhard, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf.
