International Innovative Technologies (IITech) is a non-profit institution established in Tbilisi in 2016, following the recommendation of the Ministry of Energy of Georgia (now part of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development). As the Georgian branch of EUROSOLAR – the European Association for Renewable Energy, IITech serves as a dynamic platform fostering collaboration between international and Georgian professionals.
Our mission encompasses several key areas:
- Renewable Energy Sources (RES): Advancing the adoption and development of renewable energy technologies in Georgia, including solar, wind, hydro, biomass, and geothermal energy sources, with a focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
- Innovative Technologies: Facilitating the implementation of cutting-edge technologies across various sectors, with a particular emphasis on clean energy and sustainability.
- Applied Research and Development: Supporting and conducting applied R&D projects that address local and regional energy challenges, promoting innovative solutions tailored to Georgia’s unique needs and resources.
- Pilot Production: Initiating and overseeing pilot projects to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of new technologies and renewable energy systems in real-world settings.
- Education and Capacity Building: Enhancing knowledge and skills in renewable energy and sustainable technologies, including organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs for professionals, students, and the general public.
- International Collaboration: Facilitating knowledge exchange and partnerships between Georgian experts and their international counterparts as part of the EUROSOLAR network, fostering innovation and best practices in the renewable energy sector.
Through these endeavors, IITech aims to contribute significantly to Georgia’s energy transition, promoting sustainable development, environmental protection, and economic growth through the advancement of renewable energy and innovative technologies.
